Aircraft Kits

The Hirondelle is Western Aircraft Supplies Ltd.'s own design. The prototype was a total of six years in development. The aircraft was designed to meet four main goals:

1. a safe and easy to fly craft
2. fast and maneuverable
3. comfortable and attractive
4. easy and economical to build

The Hirondelle is a two place low wing aircraft, designed mainly for cross country and recreational flying. The plane features comfortable side by side seating, dual controls, large capacity fuel tanks, and relatively simple all wood construction.

The Hirondelle first flew in 1976, has flown to Oshkosh, and was featured in Sport Aviation magazine. You don't have to be an engineer or own sophisticated shop equipment to build the Hirondelle. Basically all you need is the usual assortment of home workshop tools and sufficient room to work. It is an airplane well suited to first time builders.

Falco is the Ferrari of the custom aircraft market, a stunning wooden craft with performance and handling not readily available in the factory-built market place. Production of the Falco material kits is a time consuming project that requires great attention to detail and the finest aircraft wood supplies.

Three kits are available; a tail kit, a fuselage kit, and a wing kit. All kits contain all the spruce required to complete each sub-structure. Because of the detail and set-up time required to produce the kits, Western Aircraft Supplies Ltd. groups customer orders and produces runs of each kit at scheduled intervals during the year.

Relive the Air Races of 1927 with a modernized, all wood, easy to fly, standoff replica of the Heath Parasol. The single seat parasol design made famous by Mr. Ed Heath is a practical, easy to fly, craft that is well suited to the budget minded pilot, who is looking for an aircraft with the flare of the golden age of aviation. The design is a good initial project requiring low horsepower. The finished craft is an excellent time builder or low and slow sightseer.

Nigel start your engine! This 80% scale replica of the Commonwealth's famous military trainer is sure to meet the needs of the Walter Mitty in all of us. Another of Roger Mann's practical designs, created to capture the look and feel of another era yet modified sufficiently to provide an economical and safe flyer. Western Aircraft Supplies Ltd. expects this design to be a logical step from the Heath single seater to a more advanced two place aircraft.

This charmer designed by Bernie Pietenpol during the 1930's remains a favorite of flyers regardless of age or experience.
